F T Liu is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of hands-on strategy experience with US and European MNCs as well as SMEs and his own start-up.
He started his career in Sales when he joined DuPont in 1991 as a Technical Sales Representative. One of the key attributes of a Salesperson is the ability to negotiate contracts with clients. This includes the scope of work, terms and conditions that govern the project, pricing and payment terms and exit clauses. He has been involved in deal sizes up to US$400 million.
Since becoming a Strategy Consultant in 2014, FT has been involved in working with leading clients – in sectors such as Government, Government Linked Companies, IT, Engineering, Services – encompassing the full range of Strategic Thinking process, Sales Pipeline Management Process, Negotiation Process and Marketing Process.
F T is a regular speaker at the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce events helping SME Bosses and their leadership teams raise their level of Strategic Thinking. Strategic thinkers challenge conventional wisdom. They see things differently from other people. They pick out the precious gems that others miss. This leads to better business strategies – an outcome of strategic thinking.
He regularly conducts workshops for Business Owners and Leadership Teams both in Singapore and in Myanmar. These workshops impart strategic thinking competencies – the specific attitudes, skills and knowledge. For managers to change attitudes in order to develop strategic thinking abilities, fundamental changes to their habitual thinking need to occur. The required attitudes, skills and knowledge of a strategic thinker are shared and discussed in these workshops.
F T has been conferred the title of Specialist Adult Educator by the Institute for Adult Learning in recognition of his competency in facilitating workshops to help adult learn. He co-leads the IAL Special Interest Group in Entrepreneurship in helping Adult Educators take their skills knowledge and experience international.
